Our 3nd Annual CAKE COMPETION will be held

 Sunday November 18th, 2012    10am – 4pm!

  

Event Host:  

Icing Inspirations - School and Cake Supply Shoppe

 

Events for the day include:

- CAKE to sample (of course!)
- live demonstrations on Airbrushing, Cake Safe Spray Booth, and more.
- Meet Celebrity Guest Judges

 - AMAZING once a year sales and specials (come early so you don’t miss out)
- Draws and Giveaways
- Cast your vote for “People’s Choice” in our CAKE ROOM, with over 50 cakes on display to see.  

 

 ***For the “CAKE ROOM” we will be collecting donations for ”Nutrition for Learning”, with all proceeds going to them to help their school meal programs. Adults – $2, Children under 13 – $1. Food donations are also appreciated (list of needed items to be announced shortly)***

 

  

There are 3 DIVISIONS.  Each person may enter up to two cakes.  One in either the PRO or HOBBYIST divisions,  and one also in OPEN category.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and People’s Choice in each division.

PROFESSIONAL DIVISION

• Theme – “Fairy Tale Wedding”.

• 1st Prize to be announced shortly!

•  Entry must fit into a 24″ area

• Entry may be 3, 4 or 5 tiers

•  HOBBYIST DIVISION

•  Theme - Fairy Tale Wedding.

• Entry may be 2 or 3 tiers

OPEN DIVISION

•  Theme - Faux Food Cakes

• 1st prize to be announced shortly.

• cakes must display look like any food except cake.

• Anyone, of any skill level, may enter this division

• cake may be a single tiered sculpted cake or a multi-tiered structural cake

• cake must fit into a 24″ area 

 First 50 entries receive our special “goodie bags” full of some great cake toys!  (last year’s bags were valued at $100)

 

We are thrilled to be teaming up with NUTRITION FOR LEARNING, with all proceeds from our “CAKE ROOM” going to this amazing cause!

Nutrition for Learning currently supports over 120 community based breakfast, morning meal and lunch programs impacting approximately 9,000 children daily in community nutrition programs committed to improving the learning capacity, health and well being of children and youth in Waterloo Region.   Their programs, and over 600 dedicated volunteers, impact the physical, cognitive, behavioural and academic needs of children and youth in our region through student nutrition programs in elementary and secondary schools throughout the region.
